My husband has always been a fan of meat snacks. Until now, I could take it or leave it … mostly leave it because I didn’t like the spongy texture. Hello Kathi, I’m sorry for your Amazon experience. Several people I know have had great success on ebay. If that’s not an option, have your local bookstore (hopefully there still is one!) request from their supplier.

Hello Betty! I routinely make hummus from canned chickpeas and you will love this recipe. Drain and rinse the chickpeas and transfer to a food processor. Add the juice of 1 large lemon (1/4 cup juice), a peeled garlic clove, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons chicken or vegetable stock (or water), 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and 1/4 cup tahini or creamy peanut butter. Puree it until smooth and serve with a sprinkling of paprika. It is delicious!
