After our recent visit to Party Fowl – Donelson, we had an opportunity to go back again this weekend for lunch. Since we were there for lunch, I once again did not get to sample a beer or slushy, but there will be another time for that.
I am pleased to report, however, I did have some Nashville Hot Chicken this time. I ordered the Hot Chicken Tacos, which come with a side of ranch-style beans that are topped with jalapeños.
I chose the Nashville Hot spice level for my hot chicken, and I’m glad I did. Anything hotter would have been too much. Anything less wouldn’t have been enough. Since your taste and tolerance will certainly vary, you should choose your own spice level. If you don’t like things that are very spicy (hot), you might consider dropping down a level and ordering your chicken Medium. And if heat is your thing, you could bump up to poultrygeist.
The tacos were as good as advertised, with just the right amount of battered crust. They came with pico, sour cream, and avocado, which came in handy. The sour cream added a flavor layer that was nice, and the pico was a nice complement, as well. While the beans weren’t exceptional, they were serviceable, and I enjoyed the favor – and heat – added by the jalapeños.
My son had a friend with him, and he ordered a burger and fries. The burger typically comes with an egg, which he omitted. It also came with shoestring fries, which were so good we ordered an extra serving for ourselves.
Hopefully, I will make it back soon so that I can try one of the famous slushies. When I do, you will most likely read about it here.
Until then, I’ll be studying the menu to decide which one I want. You can see their entire menu by clicking here.
