Fast Pesto Dip
We are in the countdown to Christmas and you don’t have oodles of extra time to spare. To the rescue is this super simple, incredibly fast and delicious dip that you can throw together in a snap with ingredients you probably have on hand. Serve it with some peppered Carr’s crackers and you’ve got an appetizer to satisfy hungry guests until the meal is ready to serve. Merry Christmas!
Fast Pesto Dip
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup prepared pesto sauce
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon cream or milk
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Toasted pepitas or pine nuts for garnish
Place the cream cheese, pesto, Parmesan, cream and cayenne in a mixing bowl and mix at medium speed until smooth. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with pepitas or pine nuts. Serve with crackers.
Note: If you have time, this dip benefits from an hour in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld.
